What is the private alpha?
Quiet Camping is launching with 25–50 trusted campers who share our values of preservation, stewardship, and reciprocity. Alpha members help shape the platform, submit the first campsites, and earn credits toward future access.
How do I join the alpha?
Sign up on our waitlist at quiet-camping.com. We review each application personally and invite members in small batches to maintain quality over quantity.
Is Quiet Camping free to use?
During the private alpha, access is free for invited members. A subscription model ($9.99/month or $99.99/year) will be introduced at launch to support the platform's operation and stewardship programs.
Can I submit a campsite I know?
Yes! Submitting quality sites is how the community grows. You earn credits for each approved submission, which you can use to unlock other members' sites. We review every submission before publishing to ensure accuracy and protect sensitive locations.
How are campsite coordinates protected?
Exact coordinates are stored securely and never displayed publicly. Members see approximate locations on the map and must use credits to unlock precise coordinates for individual sites. This prevents mass scraping and protects the places we all care about.
Do you have a mobile app?
Not yet. The platform is currently web-only and optimized for mobile browsers. A native app is on the roadmap for a future phase.
